When you see the phrase Seniors Portraits, it usually refers to the tradition in the United States, where young adults have their pictures taken at about age 17 – at the beginning of their final year in High School. I like the idea and would welcome the chance to shoot some but as yet it’s not really big in the UK. Here, certainly female teens, seem to be keener on pouting like fish for selfies.
Anyway, my senior portraits feature my mother on a day out in the Lake District and they were just a bit of fun. It was a glorious summer’s day and for some reason she insisted on singing “the hills are alive with the sound of music…” They may have been alive but they must have been suffering. Not the best singer my mum!
