Gemma Louise Doyle and the Fuji 50-140mm lens – star performers

These pictures of vocalist Gemma Louise Doyle performing were all captured on the Fuji X-T1 with the fantastic Fujinon 50-140mm lens attached and `Classic Chrome’ film setting.  And just like singer Gemma, they gave a virtuoso performance.

Gemma was making a return to her home town of Preston after performing to audiences around the world, It was a cold, wet and windy day but Gemma’s class shone through and the Fuji combination produced some great images in the difficult conditions.

I was a bit surprised by how much I liked the Classic Chrome film simulation for these pictures and I thought it worked particularly well with the black and white images, giving the blacks some real depth.

All the images were shot wide open at 1/250 second which for the most part managed to deal with any subject movement. It’s a combination I will certainly be using again.
