It was a real pleasure to see Preston so busy this last weekend. I was photographing the Lancashire Encounter event in Preston’s City Centre which seemed to provide something for everyone with plenty of art, music, dance and culture on show. It set out to be a bold and imaginative spectacle and it certainly seemed to achieve its aim. From Tai Chi on the Friday to Burlesque and Indian dancing on the Sunday it was as diverse as the audience that turned out in the sunshine to enjoy the programme of events.
Many of my photographs have already appeared online on Blog Preston but here are a few of my favourites from the weekend.
Most of the photographs were taken with a Fuji X-T1 with 50-140mm lens and a few were taken on the Fuji X-Pro1 with 10-24mm and 35mm lenses.
