Everyone needs a little bit of a challenge to begin the year, right? Well, for me that had to be a photographic challenge and with some trepidation, I decided to take on a 366 project – that’s one photograph a day for a year. It’s quite a commitment, even for someone like me who takes a lot of pictures. Time will tell if I have bitten off more than I can chew but so far, so good.
To help me undertake this challenge I am relying on my Fuji gear. My Fuji X100 featured in my day one ‘rising to the challenge’ photograph and in my first week I’ve already used the X100, X-Pro1 and X-T1 cameras. I’ve also used a selection of lenses including 18mm, 35mm, 60mm, 18-55mm and 50-140mm. You can’t say I don’t make use of my Fuji gear!
The seven photographs featured here are a bit of an eclectic mix – there’s no theme as such and I’ll continue to just see how the mood takes me on a day-to-day basis.
As far as reflections on week one – the weather has been the biggest hinderance – it’s pretty much rained everyday and I’m already looking forward to warmer, sunnier times. I’ll publish a weekly update here on my website but if you want to follow along daily, you can find my uploads here on Flickr
