Week 3 of my photo-a-day challenge

This week Preston has been featuring prominantly in my 2016 photo-a-day challenge. With lots of dull and wet days, I’ve stayed fairly local and six of the photos feature views or buildings of Preston.

There is one exception however and that is a still-life picture of  glass of milk, which isn’t actually a glass of milk (it’s orange juice).  It’s also black and white but not really – you’ll see what I mean when you see the picture below.

To capture these images, I used a couple of Fuji cameras and a number of different lenses ranging from a 60mm close up lens for the ‘Milky White’ photo to a wide-angle 10-24mm lens for the building shots.

Most of the pictures were captured on the Fuji X-Pro1 camera – an excellent rangefinder style camera which has the look of a traditional classic rather than a modern digital.

I was pleased to see that the recently announced Fuji X-Pro2 still keeps those classic rangefinder looks but with added features and improvements.  For now, I can only look at all the reviews and dream but it’s certainly a camera I’d love to own.
