Well, I thought it was one of my weaker photos this week but with over 80 ‘favs’ and well over 3,000 views, perhaps I was wrong! It’s the second week in succession that one of my photos has been highlighted on the Flickr ‘Explore’ pages. I’m pretty happy with that.
The photo that grabbed the attention this week is one of a House Sparrow peeping out of its nest on the roof line of a neighbour’s house – see below.
It’s also been a good week weather-wise and my photos of the day have also included a picture from the shores of a sunny Lake Windermere and from the promenade at a sweltering Blackpool. The Blackpool picture features two of the things the resort is most famous for, its tower and its trams.
And finally, a quick word about the black and white portrait I included this week. The picture is of a former colleague (Eric) who I haven’t seen for about 20 years. It was great to see him after so long and a real pleasure to meet members of his family who he had persuaded to come together for a family portrait. The shot I included as my photo of the day was one of the initial test shots from that session.
I’m now preparing to do some photos at a sixtieth birthday celebration so maybe one of those shots will appear next week.
