Kathleen – the forgotten Kennedy

It was while we were visiting Chatsworth House in Derbyshire that we discovered the story of Kathleen (kick) Kennedy who is sometimes referred to as the forgotten Kennedy.

Kathleen is buried in St Peter’s Parish Church at Edensor but at her funeral the only Kennedy to attend was her father.

 

JFK’s sister was a bit of a rebel  She defied her family for love and married William Cavendish, Marquess Of Harrington  She lost her husband in the second world war and at 28, she died in a tragic plane crash alongside her married lover.
