We were in Bowness-on-Windermere in the Lake District at weekend and found out they were having a charity Santa run. It was a beautiful, but chilly Sunday morning as we headed down to the lake side to take a look.
I’ve got to admit that there’s something a little bit surreal seeing all those people in Santa costume; quite what the young children made of it I don’t know! Carols were being sung and it was a nice festive surprise. I hope they made plenty of money for charity as well as having fun.
As usual I had my trusty Fuji X-T2 with me together with the superb 50-140mm f2.8 lens. Here are a few photographs captured at the event. The camera performed a lot better than the photographer and it wasn’t too long before I couldn’t feel my fingers and we had to head off to a warm cafe for coffee and cake.
