St Ives in Summer

It’s one of our favourite places and this year we had the best weather yet for our visit to the Cornish coast.  We stayed at the Ayr St Ives site which takes motorhomes, caravans, tents and even has some luxury static caravans, lodges and a hotel. It also has great views and sunsets!

St Ives has everything, great beaches, good walks, atmospheric pubs and plenty of good beaches all within a few minutes walk. When there, we always seem to bump into a wedding too.

Here are a few photos:

Photographing a Biathlon in St Ives

A recent visit to St Ives in Cornwall coincided with the annual Surf Life Saving Club’s Biathlon.

The event marked the club’s 60th anniversary as well as being the 20th time the Biathlon has taken place.

Whilst I’m normally out and about covering events in Preston, it was hard to resist taking a few photographs as we joined the biathlon spectators at the harbour finishing line.

It was an enjoyable hour or so and I was happy to make a few of the photos available to the Club when they saw some on Twitter.

The pictures below are a more comprehensive collection and hopefully some of the competitors will get to see themselves here. I may even try and make the event next year! Click on any picture to view as slideshow.
