Lancashire Encounter – a few pictures

So much going on and not enough time to capture it all but what an eclectic mix of performance art, music, dance and activities.

A massive well done and thank you to all involved. Here are a few photos from Friday and Saturday.

In Pictures: Fylde Ladies v Blackburn Rovers Ladies

A mid week local derby on the Fylde was a real battle of a game between two good teams. Rovers were the side that looked most likely to score throughout the game but they didn’t manage to create many clear-cut chances and Fylde defended brilliantly, playing more like the away side. In the end Rovers got their goal and it came from a goalkeeping error.  That one goal was the difference between the teams in the end.

From a photographic point of view it was near impossible to get decent pictures under what are really poor floodlights down at Kellemargh Park – the game having been switched from Mill Farm. Here’s are a few picture I did get…

In Pictures: Sir Tom Finney Ladies -v- Penrith Ladies

A hard fought game down at the UCLan Arena finished in a defeat for the home side as Penrith took all three point with two goals in the last 10 minutes. STF had been leading following a bit of a strange deflected second-half goal but on the balance of play they can’t have too many complaints about the result. Penrith pressed STF throughout the game and worked hard for their victory.

Here are some pictures from the game.
